How the Co-op Works Across Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada:
We are a community of consumers in the Intermountain West (Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada) who join forces to make bulk food orders, primarily meat and produce, to benefit from co-op pricing and support local businesses. This helps local farmers, suppliers, and co-op families save money while getting high-quality products.
Here’s how it works:
- Browse Our Offerings: Visit our website to see what’s available for bulk ordering this month.
- Find Pickup Locations and Times: Our pickups are typically once per month in counties like Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah in Utah, as well as select locations in Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada.
- Place Your Bulk Order: Order online to include your selection in the group purchase, saving big with co-op pricing!
- Pickup Your Order: On the scheduled date and location, pick up your order directly from the refrigerated trucks.
- Fresh & Convenient: Most items come fresh or flash-frozen, ready for storage or immediate use.
- Changing Selections: Our offerings change every month, so if you see something you like, don’t wait! Act fast to lock in your order.

Levels of Buying through the Co-op:
- Direct Bulk Orders: These large, once-per-month orders allow us to negotiate the best prices directly with local farmers and suppliers, cutting out the middle-man.
- Local Business Partnerships: We’ve partnered with local businesses in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada to facilitate direct connections between you and local producers.
- Local Business Directory: We also maintain a directory of trusted local businesses where you can reach out directly for additional purchases.
Monthly Offerings and Prices:
- Changing Selections: Each month, we post a new selection of meats and produce for bulk ordering, with prices varying based on current market conditions.
- Pickup Schedule: Pickup dates, times, and locations are announced with the monthly offerings. These could change due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Refrigerated Delivery: Our products are delivered fresh or frozen by refrigerated trucks directly from the farms.
- Easy Pickup Process: Pick up your order directly from the truck—just stay in your vehicle, and we’ll load it for you!


FAQ: Bulk Meat Orders & Pickup Process
- Do I Need to Prepay? Yes, prepayment is required. This helps us secure the best deals with farmers and ensures we can place large orders on behalf of the group. This also prevents losses from no-shows at pickup.
- Can Someone Else Pickup My Order? Absolutely! Many families or neighborhoods send one person to pick up orders for multiple households.
- Do You Deliver or Ship? We offer home delivery in select areas. Check your zip code during checkout to see if you qualify.
- How Are the Products Packaged? Products are packaged in bulk, with fresh or flash-frozen options. Details about packaging are available for each product on our website.

In 1997, Alan and Elizabeth left the rat race and took over the family ranch which included living off-grid and 6 miles off the pavement at the foot of Greenjacket Hill near Vernon, Utah. Determined to restore the ranch, the family remodeled the house, rebuilt fences, plowed, planted, irrigated, bred, and calved-out cattle. It was later bought by current owner David Dance in February 2015 where it then became Rocky Mountain Honey in 2017 and relocated in a new location in Idaho Falls, Idaho. David Dance is knee deep in the bee business these days. As a third-generation bee enthusiast, Dance does more than process honey for retailers. He is also a beekeeper who rents out his hives to farmers for pollination purposes.
