After living 8 years in Europe while Spencer played professional basketball, we were ready to slow down and live the simple life. Chelsey has always had a passion for animals and admires the "self sustaining" lifestyle. Once Spencer met his Highland Cattle he couldn't get land fast enough. Since acquiring our land and adding 2 kids to the bunch, we have been fully devoted to making Golden Hour Farm a fully operational, self sustaining, and beautiful farm. We hope our love, passion, and authentic lifestyle gets passed down through our livestock to our customers. Whether we serve 1 or 1 million people, we are honored to be part of the farming community. We believe there is no better place to raise a family than right here on our farm, Golden Hour Farm.

Bennion Beef - Vernon, UT

In 1997, Alan and Elizabeth left the rat race and took over the family ranch which included living off-grid and 6 miles off the pavement at the foot of Greenjacket Hill near Vernon, Utah. Determined to restore the ranch, the family remodeled the house, rebuilt fences, plowed, planted, irrigated, bred, and calved-out cattle. They improved range for wildlife, especially the western Sage Grouse and were once named Ranchers of the Year by the Society for Range Management. Read more Here.

Rocky Mountain Honey, Blackfoot, ID

Rocky Mountain Honey was established in 1992 as Gorder’s Honey by Ed Gorder in Blackfoot, Idaho. It was later bought by current owner David Dance in February 2015 where it then became Rocky Mountain Honey in 2017 and relocated in a new location in Idaho Falls, Idaho. David Dance is knee deep in the bee business these days. As a third-generation bee enthusiast, Dance does more than process honey for retailers. He is also a beekeeper who rents out his hives to farmers for pollination purposes.

Independent Meat Co. wasfounded in Twin Falls, Idaho in 1904. It began as a single butcher shop serving irrigation workers, expanding to multiple locations and a central slaughterhouse by 1909. The company evolved, centralizing processing and phasing out retail locations as full-line grocery stores became the primary meat retailers.Independent Meat Company is now family-owned, with the fourth generation in management.They focus on sustainable practices, including rendering all porcine byproducts and recycling cardboard

Lower's Meats/Double L Ranch

Starting in 1920 in Smithfield, UT as a small meat processing facility, Lower foods has been run by generations of family. Lower Foods continues to be a family enterprise in Richmond, UT. Alan Lower, a son, has worked for many years with his parents in the progression of the company. When Larry passed away in January 2001, Alan and his mother, Marilyn, continued the operation at the Richmond plant. Alan’s sons, Chad and Lee, also work at the plant, making the business a four-generation enterprise.

Bacon

Daily's Bacon

In 1893, John R. Daily, with his business partner, James Walsh, opened the Union Market, a local retail meat market in Missoula, Montana. Six years later John's partner retired, and Daily became the sole proprietor of the meat market and slaughterhouse. He would purchase animals from local farmers and process beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry and buffalo.

By the 1920s, the John R. Daily Co. began to focus more on wholesale business and closed four retail markets. The slaughterhouse, a big brick building two miles west of Missoula, was located on Mullan Road. The same street where one of the division's three plants is located today.

In the 1980s, the company strategically focused on building its expertise in bacon and built the reputation as "The Bacon Specialists," supplying premium bacon throughout the Northwest. In 1992, a second bacon plant was opened in Salt Lake City.
