Bacon is one of the most universal meats on the market. Some of our favorite ways to use it range from the main course to just the right topping, as it is crumbled up and sprinkled over just about dish imaginable! The only thing you really need to focus on is making sure you are using good bacon!
Luckily at the Co-Op, we have a monthly staple that gives you15 pounds of honey-cured, thick-cut bacon that is cut from the center of the pork belly and gives a quality and flavor that you would typically only expect from fine restaurants.
Let’s look at some of our favorite bacon recipes to put your case of bacon to good use no matter what time of day it might be!

Bacon for breakfast might be one of the most well-known ways to use some of the bacon in your box, and even then, there are so many ways to use it!

Breakfast pizza is a delicious way to utilize the bacon in your pack! Pair with some eggs from the farm and the easy-to-make pizza crust also offered by the Co-Op, and you are bound to make everyone excited to get out of bed and eat breakfast together! Pair with some orange juice and fruit for a well-balanced meal.
There are also endless options for breakfast bakes and other delicious dishes utilizing bacon first thing in the morning!
Bacon for Lunch
There are many great ways to use our delicious bacon for lunch! While the bacon sandwich is definitely one of the best bacon recipes of all time, the endless opportunities to add fun ingredients and try out different combinations give you a multitude of possibilities!
One easy way that has been tested and approved with our families is the Quick Bacon Sandwich! All you need is some toast, cream cheese, avocado, and of course, BACON!
Another quick bacon sandwich you can throw together when you’re on the go needs only a few simple ingredients. We think toasting the bread adds to the texture of the combo. In this classic sandwich, we used the famous bacon rounds, but since they aren’t available with every month’s pick-up options, you can always sub in crispy strips of bacon in its place. Paired with staples that you probably already have on hand, including mayo, tomatoes, and spinach, this sandwich can be pulled off in a hurry!
Bacon for Supper
This Creamy Bacon Chicken is a great way to not only use the bacon offered by the Co-Op but you can also take advantage of some awesome deals on our different cuts of high-quality chicken! This meal is the perfect comfort food to make in these upcoming cold and dreary evenings that winter will be bringing. The easiest way to complete this meal would be to pair it with your favorite pasta and a hearty vegetable.
Another great way to use your bacon and chicken together is this Baked Crack Chicken! So much goodness in each and every bite! Pair with a simple potato and vegetable, and supper will be served!
If you need to throw together a quick meal and don't have a lot of ingredients on hand, you can always satisfy the crowd with a loaded baked potato. With ingredients you probably already have at home, including sour cream, butter, cheddar cheese, and bacon pieces, you have a simple yet filling meal!

Favorite Ways to Cook Bacon
Using a frying pan to cook your bacon will definitely never go out of style, as there is just something about crispy bacon that can make your day better, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other great ways to serve it up. A few options we have tried include smoked bacon and boiled bacon. Each is a great choice that gives the bacon a new texture and brings out different flavors that you might miss otherwise.
