How to Make the Perfect Cinnamon Roll

What You Will Need
- Rustic Scoop mix
- Active Dry Yeast
- Sugar of choice
- Flax eggs (or you can choose to use regular eggs depending on your needs)
- Vegan or Regular Salted Butter
- White Vinegar
- Ground Cinnamon
- Powdered Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
Steps to Making the Perfect Cinnamon Rolls
If you are baking your cinnamon rolls, as soon as your dough is ready, you can go ahead and preheat your oven to 350℉. Mix your dry ingredients together in a large bowl, including your Rustic Scoop mix, active dry yeast, and sugar.
After that is blended well, you want to add in your wet ingredients, including warm milk. This is one of the trickiest steps because if your milk is too warm, it can kill the yeast, but if it’s too hot, it can kill it, causing your dough not to rise. As you mix that in using your dough hook attachment, you will also add your egg of choice, butter, and vinegar until you get all of the small lumps worked out.
Let your dough sit while you lay out parchment paper. You can spray your parchment paper with non-stick spray or create a lightly floured surface to roll out your dough. Using a rolling pin or your hands, you can roll out the dough into a large, rectangular shape.
Once your dough is spread out nice and even, you can roll some softened butter all across the flat surface. You can then create your cinnamon filling with a thorough sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar all across the dough.
After you have completed that step, you can begin to roll up your dough. Go slowly with this step, as you want to make sure it’s as even as possible all the way across so that when it’s time to cook, they will all be about the same thickness. Once you have the entire piece rolled into a log shape, you can use dental floss or a sharp knife to cut it into pieces (individual rolls).
Set them in your greased pan and place them in a place where there won’t be any cold-air drafts, preferably with a warm, damp cloth covering them to create a nice, cozy warm environment. Let them sit for around 30 minutes so that the first rise gets going for a fluffy, delectable finished product!
Once you have watched the dough rise to the perfect size, you can bake the cinnamon rolls in your preheated oven for about 22–27 minutes. This can vary depending on the altitude where you live and how done you prefer your cinnamon rolls to be.
Adding the Frosting
You can make a glaze using powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk and can create whatever consistency you prefer. Play around with it until you find the perfect one!
Cream cheese frosting is also becoming a very popular way to top cinnamon rolls giving them a little bit richer overall flavor.
How to Store Cinnamon Rolls
